Japanese news site Nikkei BP (Japanese) has put together collection of unique gadgets around sleeping, staying awake and waking up.
I already highlighted the Nap Alarm in the previous story. Even weirder is the automatic rising device (photo). This pillow is blowing itself up when it is time to get up. It actually pulsates in 7 seconds interval until you get up I guess. I would think the pump makes enough noise for me to jump up right away. It sells for 98,000 yen (~$836).
