Toshiba announces the Toshiba Qosmio G30/697HS Notebook with HD DVD drive. The first HD DVD notebook will be on the market mid May in Japan.
The Toshiba Qosmio G30/697HS features a HD DVD drive that is also a DVD and CD burner. The AV notebook packs two tuners and 17 inch display with WUXGA (1920x1080px) resolution.
Intel's Core Duo Processor T2500 and the NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 are providing the necessary CPU and GPU power.
As reported Toshiba already has the HD DVD player HD-XA1 on the market in Japan.Pricing is still open. It is also not clear when Toshiba will offer the Qosmio G30/697HS in other markets.
