Seagate is introducing a 3.5" hard-drive with perpendicular technology today called Seagate Cheetah 15K.5.
The Seagate Cheetah 15K.5 comes in 300GB, 146GB and 73GB configurations and spins at 15,500RPMs.
Seagate positions the Cheetah 15K.5 as high-end drive in the enterprise market. Currently the drive is made available to OEMs as SAS and Ultra320 SCSI drive. This summer the new Seagate drive is also supposed to available at retail.
