The Water Runner robot is being developed by assistant professor Metin Sitti at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
Professor Sitti's dream goal is actually to build an all terrain robot that can fly, move over land and swim or as in this walk on water.
The Water Runner copies the cool moves of a lizard we all know from watching nature shows.
In tests the four and two legged Water runners achieve speeds of .8 meters per second on water.
