JVC finally updates the the GZ-MC500 with a larger hard-drive. The new 3CCD hard-drive camcorder is dubbed GZ-MG505.
The JVC GZ-MG505 30GB HDD provides you with seven hours of DVD movie-quality video or more than 10 hours at DVD camcorder-quality.
The 3-CCD camera uses pixel-shift technology to deliver 5MP video quality. In addition to native full resolution 16:9 (1173 x 660 x3 effective pixels) and 4:3 DVD movie quality the GZ-MG505 takes stills with a resolution of up to 2560 x 1920 pixels.
The JVC GZ-MG505 features a 2.7 inch 16:9 screen, 10x optical zoom and USB 2.0. JVC was able to keep the new GZ-MG505 still very compact and lightweight (510g).The Everio GZ-MG505 offers built-in DVD burner control allowing it to be directly connected to an optional JVC DVD burner, the CU-VD10 SHARE STATION.
The JVC Everio GZ-MG505 will be available in July and will sell for approximately $1,300.00.
