Sony announced its new SLR camera brand alpha a couple of weeks ago.
Now Sony revealed details about the first Alpha digital SLR camera in an interview.
Sony partnered with Konica Minolta to develop Sony branded DSLR cameras. So it is no surprise that the first Sony alpha branded SLR camera looks pretty close to those of Konica Minolta. Sony also wants to be compatible with all the lenses out there, this requires similarities.
This summer Sony will globally launch alpha digital SLR cameras.
