Nokia and Google spread the news about their collaboration already last week. Now Nokia issued the official press-release with all the details.
Nokia introduced Internet Tablet OS 2006 edition, which includes support for rich Internet communications, including pre-installed Google Talk.
Additional features of the new software edition include enhanced text typing with full-screen finger keyboard, improved memory performance and refreshed user interface.
The Internet Tablet OS 2006 edition which is based on popular desktop Linux and Open Source technologies is planned to be available during the second quarter of 2006 in selected countries in Europe and the Americas. Existing Nokia 770 customers will be able to upgrade for free.
