The Japanese market VAIO UX comes in four different packages:

The third option is the lower performance VGN-UX50, which runs on Intel Core Solo U1300 1.06GHz. Price: $1,949.00.
The Sony VGN-UX50/Bundle adds the external PCGA-DDRW2 DVD±RW OEM Bundle selling for $2129.00.
What is interesting is that the Japanese VAIO UX models come with Windows XP Home, while the US market models are loaded with Windows XP professional.
Dynamism also lists the US UX models that will ship in July. The VGN-UX180P runs on an Intel Core Solo U1400 1.2GHz. It will sport EDGE connectivity. Price is $1,799.00.
The VGN-UX180P/Bundle includes the External PCGA-DDRW2 DVD±RW OEM Bundle, which ups the price to $1,979.00.
Clearly, if you want to use EDGE and prefer Windows XP Professional, than you should wait until July. If you want to be the first guy on the block to own the Sony VAIO UX, Dynamism is your shop.
