Nintendo of Europe today announced a release date for their newest handheld system, the Nintendo DS Lite. It will be available for European customers on June 23, 2006.
The DS Lite, which is scheduled to launch on June 11 in the United States, is a sleeker, more compact version of the Nintendo DS.
Unlike the US launch where the handheld will be available in only white, in Europe the system will debut in both white and black. The European version has a suggested retail price of £99.99, roughly equivalent to the US price point of $129.
More details at Nintendo Europe's website.
