NCSoft, the publisher of the famous Guild Wars online PC game, today announced that their latest title, Guild Wars Factions is the #1 selling PC game in both North America and Europe, according to data from the NPD market research group, for the week ended April 30.
This comes at a time when the world of MMOGs is rapidly growing. According to NPD, usage of massively multiplayer games grew about 29% between 2004 and 2005.
The CEO of NCsoft, Rob Garriott, had this to say: "Free online game play, stunning graphics, in depth PvP and PvE -- impossible they said. Guild Wars Factions proves that ArenaNet is the world leader, not just in great online games, but in building unique business models aimed for the future of online gaming."
