Toshiba introduces the Gigabeat V30T 30GB MEV30T portable media player with terrestrial digital TV tuner (One-Seg aka 'wansegu').
The Toshiba Gigabeat V30T runs Microsoft's Portable Media Center and features a 3.5 inch color TFT screen with QVGA resolution and 400cd/m2 brightness.
Toshiba integrated PVR functionality inside the V30T allowing you to record TV programs directly onto the 30GB hard-drive.
As Toshiba is a partner of Microsoft the format is supported accordingly. Besides WMA 9 Lossless, WMA and WMV the V30T supports MP3 and Wav files.
A single battery charge lets you listen to music for 25 hours, 9 hours watching video and 7 hours of wansegu (live digital TV).
The new Toshiba Gigabeat V30T goes on sale in June in Japan. No pricing information available as of yet.
More details in this Toshiba press-release (Japanese). The highly anticipated Toshiba Gigabeat S is supposed to ship tomorrow.
