Porsche Panamera Take Elevator Ride 94 Stories

Topic: Cars & Vehicles

Porsche Panamera Take Elevator Ride 94 Stories Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review I'm not sure what would be more perplexing when the door for an elevator going to the 94th story of the Shanghai World Financial Center opens -- seeing an ax wielding murderer step out or a Porsche Panamera sitting upright. Porsche decided to hold a press conference for the car 1,394 feet up on the 94th floor of the venue.

The building owners no doubt looked at them oddly when they first said what the plan was. To get the large Porsche up the elevator required some specialized ramps, bravery, and a really strong cargo elevator. Read more

Danny MacAskill Street Trial Biking Video is a Must See Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review This story is slightely off topic, but I have been mountain biking for decades and what 23-year-old street trials biker Danny MacAskill is doing with his bike is really inspiring. Watch the must see video below.

Danny MacAskill published a cool new video that shows him biking around Edinburgh, Scottland. Besides jumping and driving on fences, he jumps roofs and does a backflip riding up a tree (my favorite stunt). The video already got over 680,000 views within 3 days on Youtube. Read more

Hotelicopter is a Flying 5-star Hotel

Topic: Cars & Vehicles

Hotelicopter is a Flying 5-star Hotel Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review If I were an X-Man, I'd fly around in the Hotelicopter rather than that small jet. The Hotelicopter is just what it sounds like, a helicopter that is as much a flying hotel as it is a rotorcraft. The massive helicopter is outfitted with 18 luxury rooms that are each sound proofed and equipped with a queen-size bed, mini-bar, Wi-Fi, and more.

The aircraft offers room service after takeoff and is generally massive. The giant helicopter started life as one of only two Russian Mil V-12 helicopter prototypes ever produced. The Hotelicopter Company purchased one of the prototypes in 2004 and modified it with an extra floor, turbofans, and aerodynamic modifications to be a flying hotel. Each of the four GEnx turbofans produces 75,000 pounds of thrust and the aerodynamic modes cut fuel consumption by 22%. Read more
