E3 2006 - Nintendo Wii Wins in Terms of Wait Line Length
Topic: E3 News Coverage
The wait time to play the Nintendo Wii at the E3 2006 was pushing 4 hours apparently yesterday. Compare that to a mere 30min. for the Sony PS3 - Nintendo is the winner of E3 2006 alone based on this fact.
Here is a video on Youtube (via digg) walking along the Wii line. The video takes over 2 minutes. The line just does not end. I do not know how the attendees have been able to put up with this gruesome wait time.

E3 Booth Babes 2006 Versus 2005
Topic: E3 News Coverage
The rumored stricter E3 dress-code for booth babes has been implemented this year, and it is not necessarily a bad thing.
As you can see above the photo from E3 2005 shows booth babes with less clothes on certain areas of their body. Still the booth babes this year are as pretty and sexy as ever. More clothes does not mean less interesting. Some describe the shift in the maturing of the gaming industry. Maybe, but I think it is time to have a hot gaming show in Europe, France maybe or Sweden?

E3 2006 - Interview With Shigeru Miyamoto from Nintendo
Topic: E3 News Coverage
AOL's Engadget and Joystiq scored a cool interview with Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto.
I hope this Miyamoto statement holds true:
"The one thing that I have been thinking about for a long time is this problem we've had with 3D games, where as we've been making 3D games, 3D worlds and the control schemes have becomes so complicated. People who don't play games can't easily jump into those interactive worlds and experience them.
And I think we've been able to overcome some of that difficulty with the functionality of the Wii controller. So now as we go forward and create software I have to continue to think of ideas of how to take advantage of that to overcome that barrier."

All she wants from E3 is some free swag, and the money of course she makes for the Show Daily job.
Jack only missed out to ask for her phone number. Her name is Rebecca if you listen quickly at the beginning of the video interview.
She will be working today and tomorrow at the show floor. So if you read this and attend E3 drop some free swag for Rebecca.
