The new Amazon Kindle U.S. & International Wireless is shipping today. Amazon announced the new International Kindle earlier this month. The new Kindle eBook can be ordered and used around the world in over 100 countries. Amazon ships the new Kindle directly from the U.S. store, which is an interesting approach to distribute a device globally.
Because of the weak Dollar the new Kindle eBook reader is actually not a bad deal in most countries despite shipping and custom fees.

500GB Archos 5 Android Ships And New Firmware Supposed To Fix Issues

The Archos 5 Android Internet Tablet started shipping earlier this month. Back then only the 160GB and the 32GB Archos 5 Android players were available. Now the top of the line 500GB Archos 5 Android ships as well for $499.99 from Amazon.com.
Over the last days Archos 5 Android users reported issues with their device and Amazon actually stopped offering the 160GB model due to customer reports.

Nikon D3s Sample Photos Officially Released

The new Nikon D3s camera got released yesterday and we have seen first D3s reviews but no sample photos.
Since the new Nikon D3s offers stunning ISO capabilities everybody wants to see D3s sample photos. Two videos taken with the Nikon D3s appeared on Youtube yesterday according to Crunchgear (see them below). But now Nikon also published a set of Nikon D3s sample photos on their site.

Just yesterday we reported about the hot JVC Picsio that wants to ride the wave of success the Flip camcorder has had so far.
The new upgraded Flip MinoHD 2nd generation offers 120 min. of recording capacity (8GB, doubled) and comes in a brushed metal look.

New Sanyo VPC-FH1A And VPC-HD2000A Support New Apple iFrame

Apple silently cooked up a new video format dubbed iFrame. The iFrame format has a resolution of 960 x 540px and is designed by Apple to speed up importing and editing by keeping the content in its native recorded format while editing.
The first two camcorder supporting iFrame are from Sanyo. The new Sanyo VPC-FH1A (Buy Now On Amazon) and VPC-HD2000A camcorder were announced today.
The Sanyo HD2000A and the FH1A Dual Cameras are automatically programmed to default to the iFrame mode for ultimate ease of use and convenience to the user.
In addition to the iFrame video format (960 x 540), the cameras can record in High Definition 1080P (1920 x 1080), as well as high speed video formats for slow motion playback. The two new models are nearly identical camcorders in two different body designs. The HD2000A is in SANYO's signature vertical form factor while the FH1A is a traditional style camcorder shape (horizontal).

Nikon announced the new Nikon D3s FX-format digital SLR flagship camera today. You can pre-order the new Nikon D3s already on Amazon.
The 12.1MP Nikon D3s builds on the Nikon D3 and delivers ISO 200 to ISO 12800 as standard, with the noise control and wide dynamic range that the D3 offered.
ISO sensitivity can be expanded on the Nikon D3s from Lo 1 (ISO 100 equivalent) up to Hi 3 (ISO 102400 equivalent), making a significant difference in extremely low-lit shooting scenarios and other situations where faster shutter speeds or more depth of field is required.

JVC unveiled today the JVC PICSIO GC-FM1 pocket camcorder to compete with the Flip.
The stylish JVC PICSIO GC-FM1 shoots true 8MP stills and 1080p Full HD video.
JVC also packed an image stabilizer and a 4x digital zoom into the Picsio.
Videos are recorded in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format and stored as .MOV files on SD/SDHC cards.

Since eBook Reader is a very hot topic right now, LG Displays decided to show off their new thin-film solar cell in an eBook Reader.
The thin-film solar cell featured in the e-book measures 100mm in width and length, it was developed to fit the 6-inch display panel for e-books currently mass produced by LG Display. The solar cell measures 0.7mm in thickness and weighs a mere 20g.
