New 45nm AMD Phenom X4 CPUs rumored in 2008 Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review AMD announced new Phenom X4 CPUs of the end of March. Digitimes cites Motherboard sources that there are two new 45nm Phenom X4 CPUs (codename: Deneb) coming in 2008.

The new rumored AMD CPUs include the 125W Phenom X4 9750 and the 95W Phenom X4 9850 will appear before January of 2009. There is supposedly also an updated version of the upcoming Phenom X4 9950 (June) at the end of the fourth quarter. Read more

Bluetooth Low Energy has evolved from the Wibree standard from 2006. As the name implies Bluetooth LE chips need a fraction of the power today's Bluetooth chips consume. Now watches and sensors can be fitted with Bluetooth using normal button cell batteries. Read more

Retinal Imaging Display Glasses still not on the Market Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review When the Apple patent about a Laser HMD appeared last week, it trigged something in my head - a distant memory - I could not put my finger on it though until today when I stumbled over the Brother wearable Retinal Imaging Display.

There it was again. Back in 2001 (timeworn I4U post) I wrote about Microvision's Retinal Scanning Displays that would project images directly on your eye with laser beams.
Seven years later and I still cannot by video glasses that look like normal reading or sunglasses. Read more
