Today Sony announced the 80GB Sony PS3 for the U.S. market and published a photo of the packaging. The Register runs a story that on the package the SIXAXIS controller shows the Playstation sign lit up in red.

This leads us to the assumption (right or wrong, we do not know yet) that the 80GB Sony PS3 is shipping with a rumble SIXAXIS controller.
Anybody who owns a PS2 knows that the rumble feature is indicated by a red led on the controller.

Update:
The image of the SIXAXIS controller offered on Amazon also shows the red PS3 logo. Not sure since when: Sony PS3 Controller on Amazon.com I looked at other new Sony PS3 images that Sony published in its press-area, but they do not show a red Playstation logo button.
As reported Sony settled the lawsuit with Immersion a while back. Sony could anytime introduce rumble for the PS3. Possibly they will announce it Wednesday when the E3 Summit is launching.
