THQ announced today that they are releasing the next title in the MX vs ATV franchise on all three next generation game consoles. The new title will be called, MX vs ATV Untamed and will launch on Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360 consoles. The game will also be available on the Nintendo DS, PSP and PS2 as well.
"The MX vs ATV franchise is the entrenched off-road leader and has evolved into one of the top racing properties," said Bob Aniello, senior vice president of worldwide marketing, THQ. "The expansion to the Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 system, and innovative game-play made possible with the franchise's debut on Wii and Nintendo DS, position MX vs ATV Untamed to significantly grow our global share of the racing market."
The improved Rhythm Racing physics engine is said to allow for more realistic maneuvers like power slides, near upside down whips and new scrubs at full speed. No idea what those last two features actually mean, but it sounds cool.
The game will feature larger and more detailed game worlds and new racing modes like ultimate X-Cross mode where players must master all eight vehicles including a new ORB Sport. Stadium based Supercross is included as well as Opencross and enduro racing allowing players to take it to the trails. Via THQ
