A PDA designed for the blind is apparently hitting the shelves in Japan next week.

The PDA that features a set of buttons instead of a screen is called VoiceSense and runs Windows CE.
VoiceSense has a vocal guiding system and allows users to write documents, work with calendar and contact management functions, surf the web and instant message. The device measures 188x77x25mm and has SD and CF card slots.
The price is pretty high with $2,150.
AkihabaraNews has some more details and photos of the VoiceSense. They do not mention the Japanese company making the VoiceSense though.

Update:
Turns out the maker of Voice Sense is not a Japanese company. It is GW Micro based Fort Wayne, IN. More details on their site. Via Engadget.
