The success of the Nintendo Wii inspires other vendors to introduce gesture based input devices. Logitech introduced the MX Air Mouse (video) this week. Gyration just sent us some photos and information of their upcoming ULTRA R4000 Music Remote that also supports motion-sensing.
Besides motion-sensing the Gyration Ultra R4000 is a full universal remote with a LCD screen. The screen can display the music library stored on your Media Center without having to turn on the TV or PC monitor.
With patented Gyroscopic Motion-Sensing technology, the ULTRA R4000 lets people use natural hand movements to accurately control the on-screen cursor and all aspects of Windows® Media Center software. It also includes standard menu navigation, an alphanumeric keypad and shortcut buttons.
The Gyration ULTRA R4000 music remote will be available in stores in the fall of 2007. The ULTRA R4000 will also be available bundled with a wireless portable keyboard.
