RIM introduces the Blackberry 8820 smartphone with WiFi connectivity.
The BlackBerry 8820 is RIM's first Blackberry smartphone that supports the 802.11 a/b/g Wi-Fi standards to enable data access over Wi-Fi connections in the enterprise, as well as through public hotspots and wireless home networks.
Other features of the 8820 include QVGA screen, built-in GPS, microSD memory cards support up to 32GB, enhanced media player, combining EDGE/GPRS/GSM connectivity and UMA (unlicensed mobile access) for fixed-mobile convergence (FMC) service.
The BlackBerry 8820 will be available from select wireless carriers around the world in the coming weeks. AT&T is scheduled to launch the BlackBerry 8820 in the U.S. later this summer.
With the 8820 Blackberry offers a solid and stylish business phone which gives you the basis to argue that this phone is better for you than the hyped Apple iPhone.
