Toshiba recalls more Sony Batteries

TOKYO (Reuters) - Toshiba Corp. said on Thursday it has recalled more Sony Corp.
laptop computer batteries due to fire risk.
The Japanese electronics firm said it is replacing an estimated 5,100
lithium-ion batteries worldwide after fires erupted in three PCs last year and
this year from batteries made in December 2005.
Last business year, Sony was hit by the cost of recalling 9.6 million PC
batteries after incidents in which some burst into flames.
