From what I have seen of Crysis, it will be the single biggest driver that gets gamers to upgrade their video cards for DirectX 10 capability. The game simply looks great in all its DirectX 10 glory. It also seems that a legion of mobile gamers will have good reason to trade in their old notebooks for new DirectX 10 capable ones as well.
At E3 Dignews got to play Crysis on a Toshiba Satellite notebook computer running an NVIDIA gelatinized 8700M GT graphics card. Dignews says about the experience “…it can only be said that Crysis looked no less than stunning…”
What they are saying is that on a currently available gaming notebook you can play Crysis at levels many desktop computers won’t be able to handle thanks to the DirectX 10 performance capabilities of the NVIDIA 8700M GT graphics card. Via Dignews
