Iomega announced today that several new external back up solutions will be available immediately. All three products are in the StorCenter line and cover 500GB, 750GB and 1TB of storage capacity.

The devices also incorporate other useful technology like media server capabilities and can act as print servers. Business users will also like the ability for the devices to work with active directory, journaling file system and the bundled EMC Retrospect backup software.

All of the new drives will support both Windows and Mac computers. Internally the three drives use 3.5” 7200 rpm drives with 8mb cache. Both the 500 GB and 750 GB drives are single disk solutions. The 1TB device uses a pair of 500GB drives and supports RAID 0, RAID 1, and JBOD. The 1TB drive is priced at $389, the 750 GB version is $359, and the 500GB is $269. Via Iomega
