Logitech is getting set to release another new high-end gaming mouse called the Logitech G9. The new G9 will be shipping in September at a MSRP of $99. Featuring interchangeable grips, you can tailor the G9 to your preferences depending on how you hold a mouse.
One grip is for those who palm the mouse and one if for those that use their fingers. The wide load grip is a bit flatter than the precision grip, I had a chance to play with the G9 at E3 and found the wide load grip to suit my style better. You could use the mouse with the grips off as well if you desire, with no grip the G9 is sized like a notebook mouse.
The laser engine is adjustable from 200 to 3200 dpi and uses a full-speed USB connection with up to 1000 reports per minute. Logitech gave the mouse onboard memory as well so you can program the mouse and then take it to a different computer and still have access to your macros and configurations without needing drivers.
The LEDs on the mouse tell what level of sensitivity you are at and you can choose the LED color as well. Like the G5, the G9 has a weight cartridge allowing gamers to tune the feel of the mouse. One of my favorite things about the G9 is that Logitech incorporated the MicroGear scroll wheel like the Revolution series of mice. You can change from click scroll, to the free wheeling scroll useful on long web pages or documents. Via Logitech
