The IRS has a history of giving tax breaks to buyers of hybrid vehicles that help reduce pollution. For example the Toyota Prius qualified for up to $3150 in tax credit.

Honda just had their yet unreleased FCX fuel cell vehicle qualify for a huge $12,000 tax credit from the IRS. Unfortunately other than the tax cut, little else is known about the FCX vehicle.

Little details like how much it will cost and when you can get the car are still unavailable. Honda says this tax credit is another step toward market viability. I suspect that means the car is going to cost so much, the tax break will be needed to help offset the price of the car. Via DailyTech
