MobiTV is live TV, not canned clips or slide shows on Mobile Phones. Currently they are only enabling Sprint Vision Phones to receive TV broadcasts. The first time MobiTV was in the news was last November. I guess Sprint tries to push it again, as ZDNET/CNET has a new Video Interview with a Sprint VP of Marketing showing of the MobiTV feature.
MobiTV costs $9.99 per month. The current channel line-up includes MSNBC, CNBC, Discovery, TLC, Discovery Kids, CSTV, CMC and IMNTV.
It supports most Sprint Vision enabled color phones, like the Sanyo 8100/5300, Samsung, A620/660/VGA 1000/V1660 and more.
When I was writing this, I would have liked to try MobiTV on my Sanyo 8100, but of course the Sprint PCS network was down, HTTP Error 408, Server Timed out... oh well.
