Panasonic develops Walkthrough Iris Scanner

Panasonic System Solutions has developed an Iris scanner that scans your eyes while walking through it.
Iris identification features a very low failure rate of below 1/1,200,000. Current systems you know from spy movies require you to stare into a camera until the system identifies the iris signature.
The system uses multiple 2MP cameras and detects automatically the locations of the eyes.
It might still take a while until these walkthrough iris scanners will be doing their job at airports.
