Sony Ericsson launched a new mobile phone today called the K770 cyber-shot. The K770 is thin at only 14.5mm and has a 3.2 megapixel camera with Photo fix built-in. Sony says the K770 takes digital pictures as well as a stand-alone digi cam and the images can be printed on up to A4 size paper.
A built-in photo light, which I assume to be a flash, allows you to shoot pics in low light and it shoots video as well. A sliding cover protects the lens when not in use and the 1.9” LCD acts as the view finder.
The cam is also PictBridge enabled so you can print directly to compatible printers without a PC. Storage space is expandable with Memory Stick Micro cards (M2) and the K770 ships with a 256MB M2 card. The phone also features a built-in FM tuner that uses RDS for clear signals wherever you go. The only bad part about the phone camera is the lack of optical zoom.
Junky digital zoom is all you get with a 4x max. Talk time is quoted at 10 hours in GSM and 2 hours 35 minutes in UMTS with standby time of up to 400 hours. The LCD screens resolution is 240 x 320 and it can produce 262,144 colors. There is no word on pricing or availability at this time.
