Is it time for a new iPod generation? Do we want to see a touch screens on iPods? Hell, yes! Yesterday Engadget posted a story saying that you should not buy an iPod right now.

Their educated guess is that Apple will announce a new iPod in September/October time frame.

The Korean Chosun runs a story today saying that there are almost no iPods available in Korea anymore. The stocks are depleted and apparently the stores do not get new iPod inventory. An earlier iPod rumor on Think Secret still indicated that the 6G iPod would be earliest arriving in 2008.

Clearly for a gangbuster holiday sales Apple would need new iPods and a new smaller and cheaper iPhone. If the company can pull this off is questionable though.
