The $499 60GB Sony PS3 consoles are soon gone. Sony says they do not have any in stock anymore. The only available inventory of 60GB Sony PS3 consoles is now at the retailers.
Amazon.com seems to still have plenty as you get 8 free Blu-ray movies with a purchase of a Sony PS3.
Sony did not reveal what will happen when the 60GB version is gone. Possibly the 80GB version will become the new main PS3 SKU, but first they need to unbundle MotorStrom.
