Today Sony announced that their 60GB PS3 stocks were depleted, so no more of the 60GB version are around to be had. Another story making its rounds today says that the PS3 sales on eBay have declined while Xbox 360 and Wii sales are up.
According to Punch Jump eBay sales data showed that the Wii had a 10% increase in sales over the past two weeks. It ranks as the top selling console for the past two weeks and caries an average selling price of $396.50.
The Xbox 360 Premium had a 5% increase making it the second best selling console on eBay with an average price of $295.87. The PS3 on the other hand showed a 4% decline in sales, and is the third most sold console on eBay with an average selling price of $434.48. Now that the 60Gb PS3 is no longer around you have to wonder if the numbers will get better or worse for Sony. If Microsoft really does roll out the rumored new Xbox 360 with an internal HD DVD player we may see PS3 sales in a bigger slump.
