Asus announced the highly anticipated low-cost Eee PC in June. Now Digitimes reports that Asus already plans the second generation Eee PC.
Asus plans to introduce the next Eee PCs in April 2008. Features of the new Eee PC are supposed to include Intel's Merom CPU, reduced power consumption and no cooling fan.
The Eee PC is the focus of Asus' brand business. The first generation Asus Eee PC is expected to ship in the second half of this month. Asus plans to ship 200,000-300,000 Eee PCs. More details on Digitimes.
I am totally getting one. I still could not find a retailer that actually lists an Eee PC. If you have found a trustworthy source anywhere on the planet please email me.
