JVC announced today its second generation high-speed LCD TV technology. The new JVC TVs use Clear Motion Drive II technology that gives a 120Hz refresh rate bringing a five times improvement in motion detection over the older technology previously used.
The new line will display full HD 1080p resolution at a refresh rate of 120 frames per second. The new line of HDTV sets using this technology will be available this fall with the first set using the technology launching as a 37-inch screen size.
Three sets will make up the new line with a 47” LT-47X898, 42” LT-42X989, and the 37” LT-X989. All three will use HDMI 1.3 connections and the bezel will be less than 1.5” all the way around the set. No word on pricing at this time.
