Vodafone launches 3G Notebook Card in Europe.
The 3G Card is 10 times faster than currently available GPRS cards. Specifically the 3G card supports a transfer rate of 384kbps. YES!
From February coverage is available throughout London and along the M4 corridor, and will rapidly
roll out to other major urban areas, including Birmingham and Manchester to reach 30 per cent of
the UK population by April. The card will retail for $460 with a contract. More details in Vodafone Press-Release (pdf).
Imagine high-speed internet access from anywhere, i love this thought. Combined with a high-powered PDA or sub-Notebook and a virtual laser keyboard this is the true road warrior solution.
Anybody know of any US provider offering wireless 384kbs connectivity? Post a comment to this story if you do.
