A normal garage door opener is all fine and good for the car, but what about a garage door opener that remains in place outside your home. Lots of openers include a keypad on the outside of the door that you can type a code into.
Once the correct code is entered the door will open. The problem is that codes can be hard to remember and can be hacked. Master Lock has a new garage door opener that uses biometrics to open the door. All that’s required to use the device is swiping a finger across the biometric sensor.
The Master Lock device will work with all automatic garage door openers and is able to recognize up to 20 different finger prints. The Master Lock smartTOUCH opener will sell exclusively though Home Depot at an undisclosed price.
