The hot Hitachi DZ-BD7HA hybrid Blu-ray camcorder is available for pre-order on Amazon.com.
The Hitachi DZ-BD7HA records full HD video onto Blu-ray discs and a 30GB HDD.
The compact digital HD camcorder has a 5.3 Mega Pixel 1/2.8" CMOS Image Sensor.
Amazon.com sells the DZ-BD7HA for $1,499.99.
Amazon.com also offers the cheaper Blu-ray disc only camcorder Hitachi DZ-BD70A. This one sells for $1,299.00 and starts shipping on October 1st.
The next generation camcorders will ship on October 20th. Hitachi announced the DZ-BD7H/A in August. Hitachi was first with a Blu-ray camcorder and as far as I know is still the only one.
