Kensington announced a completely new line of FM Transmitters today called LiquidFM. All products in the LiquidFM range use Kensington ClearFM technology. The LiquidFM transmitters use QuickSeek technology to swiftly find an available station to broadcast.
RDS capability allows the displaying of the song and artists name on compatible car stereo screens. The connectors used on the line will work with iPods or other MP3 players while in a protective case.
The LiquidFM Deluxe for iPod will retail for $99.99 and uses ClearFM, QuickSeek, and displays the tune name and artist info on your car stereo. The LiquidFM Plus for MP3 players works with iPods as well as other MP3 players. This product will retail for $69.99 and uses the same ClearFM technology, QuickSeek, USB pass-through to charge while you use the FM transmitter. The device has a 3.5mm connector for all MP3 players and a 2.5mm connector for MP3 phones.
Other products include the LiquidFM for MP3 players with the same features as the previous item, minus the USB pass through charging for $49.99. One other iPod specific LiquidFM device selling for iPod lacking the ability to see track info on the car stereo screen will retail for $79.99. All four devices will be available on September 17 for pre-order.
