Toshiba announced its latest portable projector today called the TDP-PX10U. The projector weighs in at 2.9-pounds and has 2200 ANSI lumens for under $1000. The HDTV compatible projector has an MSRP of $999 and a native resolution of 1024 x 768 and a contrast ratio of 2000:1.
Toshiba included a USB port on the projector for giving presentations without a PC. Picture quality is good thanks to the DLP BrilliantColor technology that uses six separate colors for a wider color variety.
A built-in 3-watt speaker allows audio for presentations as well. The small projector can throw an image of 40” to 300” from 5.3’ to 39.4’ away. Inputs include a D-Sub, one S-video, RCA for composite and the projector can handle 480p, 480i, 576i, 576p, 720-, and 1080i resolutions.
