Today Steve Jobs and T-Mobile announced the launch of the Apple iPhone in Germany.
The Apple iPhone will launch on November 9th, which is the same launch date as in the UK. Germany also just gets the 8GB iPhone. The price will be 399 Euro (~$557).
T-Mobile promises to have EDGE available nation-wide by the end of 2007. T-Mobile would be the only carrier in Germany offering that.
Additionally iPhone users will benefit from T-Mobile's 20,000 world-wide Wifi hotspots. 8,600 of these hotspots are in Germany.
T-Mobile has not yet disclosed the plans for the iPhone. The carrier will announce these just before the launch in November. The iPhone will be available in Telekom and T-Mobile stores. Germany does not have Apple owned stores yet.
