Western Digital’s family of My Book external storage devices has a few new members. Today a My Book Home Edition, My book Office Edition and a MY Book Essential Edition were added to the lineup.

Capacities ranging from 320 GB to 1TB are being offered and each version offers features tailored to the environment of the user. The home version automatically and continuously backs up a user’s computer. The office edition adds the ability to remotely access and manage data and the essential edition is for users looking for simple storage solutions.

The Home Edition uses USB, FireWire and eSATA connectivity. The Office Edition uses USB 2.0 only for connectivity. All three of the drives are compatible with Windows 2000/XP/Vista and Mac OS X 11.4.8 and later. Pricing for the drives is $129.99 to $379.99 and they are available now.
