Headplay Personal Cinema System

Headplay Inc. launched its Headplay Personal cinema system today. The system is a visual headset mounted to a visor that is worn by the user. It can be used for gaming or as a portable entertainment system.
The headset connects directly to game consoles, DVD players, some iPods, Mac and Pc computers. The device can also read USB drives and compact flash cards. "We believe the HEADPLAY Personal Cinema System will dramatically impact the way consumers experience personal entertainment," said Glen Ward, Co-CEO of HEADPLAY, Inc. "Offering an unparalleled cinematic viewing experience, the system allows gamers and movie watchers alike to consume their content of choice -- including new generation 3D content -- anytime, anywhere."
The Headplay system is equal to a 52-inch screen from six feet away and has built-in stereo sound and a 34-degree field of view. The system is available now for $499 and a version with an internal rechargeable battery is available for $549.
