Alienware Adds 320GB Samsung HDD to Options for Notebooks

Alienware has announced that it is the first to market with the new Samsung 320GB hard drives in its computers. You can now opt for up to 640GB of storage in a notebook form factor. The Alienware systems that the new 320GB Samsung notebook drives will be available in are the Area-51 m9750 and the Area-51 m5550.
These are the first gaming notebooks to be available with up to 640GB of storage space and can be set up to operate in RAID 1 or RAID 0 configurations as well. Alienware is also offering a combination of the 320Gb HDD and a 64GB SSD.
With 640GB of space, gamers can store up to 107 games at 6GB per game, up to 160 movies at 4GB per movie and up to 163,000 songs at 4MB per song. The 320GB, 5400-rpm Samsung drive adds $300 to the cost of the Alienware m9750.
