IronKey announced that it has a new flash drive in the IronKey family that meets military standards for durability and is appropriate for enterprise use as well. The new flash drive is called the IronKey: Enterprise Special Edition.
The drive is designed to meet MIL-STD-810F for tamper and water resistance and uses the same onboard hardware encryption that other IronKey drives use. No drivers or software are required to use the drive on a computer or network.
The drive can’t be accessed until a password has been entered. IronKey says that the drive also helps enterprise customers meet HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley and GLBA requirements for data security. The drive is housed in a solid metal case filled with epoxy for taper and water resistance.
