I like my home theater, but I hate all the wires. Several solutions are on the market that allow the rear speakers to operate wirelessly, but so far the sub has pretty much remained wired.
Infinity, well known for their car and home audio products, has announced a new wireless subwoofer recently that will be available in January 2008. The sub is called the PS212W, uses 2.4GHz wireless connectivity, and will most likely be introduced at CES 2008.
Like most wireless rear speaker solutions, you still plug the subwoofer into the AC outlet to power the integrated 400W amplifier. The PS212W will sell for $680 when it launches or for only $600 you can get 300-watts of the same system from JBL.
