With all the new notebook launches from Toshiba today, I guess they decided to mix it up a bit by throwing in a new conference room projector as well. The TDP-EW25U is a DLP BrilliantColor widescreen projector claimed to be the industries first wireless network projector compatible with Microsoft Vista Ultimate’s Meeting Space function for remote file sharing and presentation.
The projector has what Toshiba calls “extreme short projection” technology that allows it to throw an image of 60-inches diagonally from only 2.4-feet away from the wall or screen. The projector features 2600 ANSI lumens and a 1280 x 800 native resolution. Contrast ratio for the projector is 2000:1 and mobile pros will like the USB port that allows direct connection of a thumb drive for giving presentations without a PC.
Connectivity options for the projector include WiFi 802.11b/g, two RGB 15-pin PC inputs, two composite and two S-video inputs, two component inputs, and a built-in one-watt speaker. The projector can produce an image of up to 120-inches from 5 feet away and can project 720p and 1080i HD images.
