The WSJ reports that Nokia is apparently in acquisition talks with the number one navigation software maker Navteq.
Update:
Nokia officially announced today that they aquire Navteq for $8.1 billion. See this press-release.
TomTom bought in July the number two navigation software maker Tele Atlas for $2.7 billion.
Back then it was already likely that Navteq could be next.
Navteq would be the largest acquisition Nokia ever did. They seem to be committed to move into the services area very quickly and boldly.
None of the companies has officially commented to the WSJ story.
More details on the WSJ.
