It is becoming quite common for new cars to have line-in jacks for iPods and other MP3 devices. Subaru is embracing the iPod and digital music lifestyle by allowing the interface of a driver’s iPod directly with the in-car audio system.
The seamless integration technology is an available option on all models of the 2008 Subaru Impreza and allows for complete control of the iPod through the dashboard head unit and steering wheel controls.
This includes text display of playlists, artist, album, and song information. Fast forward, rewind and browsing by playlist, artist, album, Podcast and Audiobook is included. When docked the iPod is also charged by the cars electrical system.
