DLP Products from Texas Instruments demoed a second-generation pico-projector today at the Society for Information Display mobile display conference. DLP Products also announced that there technical manufacturers plan to market products using the pico-projector including Foxconn, Sypro Optics, and Young optics.

This new streamlined prototype is thinner and smaller than the original pico-projector we saw back at CTIA in March and the new prototype has improved picture quality as well. The new pico-projector measures in at about 10mm with no fan or other moving parts needed.

A first ever speckle-free display solution allows users to watch images and video clips on most surfaces with an image the size of a standard piece of paper. “As a leader in the cell phone design industry, Foxconn is a keen judge of concepts that will elevate the market. DLP's pico-projector is highly innovative and will help us differentiate our design in the market," said Boris Hsieh, General Manager Digital Projection Business Unit, Foxconn.
