Chinese Game operator The9 Limited announces that World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Surpasses 800,000 Peak concurrent users in Mainland China.
This is the highest concurrent user count since WOW became available in China in 2005. WOW: The Burning Crusade was launched on September 6th in China.
I wonder if amongst the 800,000 concurrent users are still Chinese kids that are forced to mine for gold.
I could not find the overall concurrent user count of World of Warcraft. Not sure if Blizzard Entertainment published that. If you know the number please email me.
Via this The9 press-release.
