Razer announced a pair of new products today, the Lycosa Gaming Keyboard and the Piranha gaming headset. Razer says the Lycosa keyboard was designed for fast efficient gameplay and superior actions per minute thanks to a 1000Hz ultrapolling rate, just like the Lachesis gaming mouse.
The keys on the keyboard are non-slip rubber topped keys and are backlit, a first for a Razer keyboard. There is also an option to turn the backlight off for all keys but the WASD keys. A gaming option also turns off the windows key.
The keyboard can have 10 custom on-the-fly adjustable profiles. The keyboard also features earphone out, microphone in jacks, a detachable wrist rest, and one USB expansion port. The Lycosa measures in at 469mm x 168mm x 15mm without the wrist rest.
The Piranha headset offers stereo sound with superior clarity and bass. The mic is adjustable with noise filtering and an inline remote provides access to volume and mute functions. The headphones are also suitable for VOIP. The Lycosa will be available in November for $79.95 and the Piranha will be available in October for $79.99.
